Abstract

This work analyzed the concept of the functional literacy of students as the result of general formation in the context of its estimation within the framework of the international comparative study PISA. It is shown that the scientific-pedagogical attempts to improve the results of
15-year-old Russian students for the elongation approximately one 20 years of monitoring PISA are not successful, together with the stably high results of the junior schoolboys of Russia in the comparative international study PIRLS. Functional literacy is connected with the urgent
adaptation to different life situations, the urgent use of knowledge of different object spheres and metapredmetnykh knowledge by students, it is compared with the aims of instruction in the basic school of Russia to the competent behavior. Motivation is considered on
the basis of the analysis of works as the factor of competent behavior. Is designated a number of the conditions of the creation of the internal motives, which are not realized within the framework the domestic educational paradigm, oriented to predmetotsentrizm: the possibility
to influence the forthcoming events, the coupling of action and result, the control of situation, the specific character of the control of actions, the measure of the reality of the represented content, condition of appearance and the nature of the purpose of action. Testing hypothesis
about the influence of the external motives of the training behavior of 15- summer schoolboys on the results of fulfilling the test targets in the size is realized PISA. Are given the results of measuring the functional literacy of the students of 9 of the classes of mathematical
school №1 Komsomolsk-na-Amur, which is been base school RAN Russian Academy of Science, and also the questioning, directed toward the estimation of the attitude of students toward the tasks of the size PISA. Conclusion about the external training motives of lyceum
students is made. The discovered in the course studies facts demonstrate explanatory possibilities and prognostic potential of the motivational focus of the problem of the failure of Russian schoolboys in international comparative studies PISA, the system nature of the low level
of functional literacy.
